The UK Public Health Rapid Support Team (UK-PHRST) works alongside partners in low-resource countries to strengthen capacity for improved and rapid response to disease outbreaks. At UK-PHRST, the capacity strengthening pillar works with global, regional, and national partners, focusing on technical collaboration, emergency coordination and systems for outbreak preparedness and response. We co-design activities and solutions with our partners, supporting their practical implementation. Work is guided by values-based approaches, fostering an enabling environment as a global community of health professionals engaged in outbreak management.
