Africa CDC

2-Day Orientation Training

Effective response to COVID-19 has to be strongly grounded in the community. One of the main objectives of the Africa Centres for Disease Control Partnership for Accelerating Covid-19 Testing in Africa (PACT) initiative is to support African Union Member States to boost community health worker (CHW) capacity, knowledge, and numbers for a community surge in COVID-19 response. This 2-day orientation training on COVID-19 for CHWs has been designed as a rapid and practical field-level orientation that can be given with little recourse to technology and adapted by individual countries as needed. It has been used in multiple African Union member states, and is provided open access on condition of acknowledgement of Africa CDC.
