UK-PHRST and University of São Paulo School of Nursing host workshop to produce first ever gender-based Infection Prevention and Control recommendations for Brazil

The UK Public Health Rapid Support Team, academics from the University of São Paulo’s School of Nursing and key Brazilian healthcare stakeholders have co-created, for the first time, gender-based IPC recommendations during disease outbreaks for the Brazilian healthcare context during a research workshop on 10 March 2026.

New briefing paper flags priority research questions to improve cleaning practices in resource-limited hospital settings

This briefing paper by the CLEAN research group, first convened in mid-2022 as part of a UK-PHRST project, sets out 12 priority research questions to improve cleaning practices in resource-limited healthcare settings and help prevent infections and antimicrobial resistance among staff and patients.
